How To Unlock The Lighting Element In Crimson Desert

There are a lot of ways you can deal death in Crimson Desert. From a sword that launches angry crows to just performing pro-wrestling moves on every poor bandit who crosses your path, there's a surprising depth to the combat systems. One way to enhance your strength is through harnessing four different elements. Not only can you get a unique ability tied to that element, but they can also be imbued into specific attacks to make them stronger.

The first element you can grab during your journey is Lightning, but it will require a bit of legwork from you if you want to acquire this power. How To Unlock The Lightning Element Complete Chapter 4 The first step to unlocking Lightning is to complete Chapter 4 of the main story. This is because it will send you to the Scholastone Institute, which eventually gives you access once more to the Abyss.

Upon finishing the chapter, you will want to open your map again and press the Right Thumbstick down to switch to a map of the Abyss. Now select the Abyss Nexus tied to the Sanctorum of Insight and make your way to this island. The puzzle itself should already be solved if you have finished Chapter 4, so head through the triangle gate and use Axiom Force on the podium to unlock a path in front of you. Complete the brief platforming section until you reach the Secret Garden island.

Crimson Desert: Duskwood Ancient Ruins Stone Pillar Puzzle Here is how to complete the Duskwood Ancient Ruins stone pillar puzzle in Crimson Desert. Complete The Secret Garden Puzzle The Secret Garden puzzle is fairly straightforward, as you need to align the lasers fired from the cannons on either side of the room to the circular switches above the locked door. You can do this by first moving the square Abyss Core in the bottom right corner of the room to the slot below the left laser cannon.

Now just move the laser to the mirror hovering over the adjacent cannon to bounce it across the room to the switch over the door. Repeat this process by moving the laser to the mirror above the one that this cannon's laser is shooting at by default. You'll need to angle it slightly to the left to ensure it ricochets to the other mirrors and hits the second switch above the door. Doing so will open the door.

Glide up to the top of the island and then connect the cable directly to your right when you land. This will turn on the large circular switch, which you can activate by performing a Force Palm strike on it. Behind you will be another triangular gate that you can walk through and activate a podium to create another series of platforms you can jump across. Complete The Vault Of Vengeance Puzzle Once you complete the platforming section, you'll reach the Vault of Vengeance island. To complete this puzzle, you'll need to unlock the Focused Shot ability in the Spirit skill tree. This and the final puzzle are impossible to finish without it, so make sure to use one of your Abyss Artifacts to obtain it if you want the Lightning element.

When you arrive on the island, move the square-shaped Abyss Cores on the left and right to their designated podiums in front of the door. Now use your Focused Shot skill to hit both of the glowing yellow switches above the door with arrows at the same time. This will let you use Nature's Grasp to raise the door and enter the main chamber. Inside, a bunch of laser beams will activate and cover the room.

Stay at the entrance to the main chamber and use Focused Shot a second time to shoot the four switches in the back right and left corners of the room near the ceiling. Doing so will deactivate the lasers, letting you grab the sword on the platform in the center. Picking it up causes the platform to lower into a narrow hallway. Slowly make your way down the hall, avoiding the different laser patterns as they appear until you reach the end of the room.

Slot the floating Abyss Core into the socket to activate the elevator, which will take you to the surface. Slam the rectangular core into the slot it's hovering in front of. Doing so will turn on the big circular switch, which you can use Force Palm on to complete the puzzle and open up another triangular gate. Complete The Courtyard Of Precision The final puzzle you'll need to complete is at the Courtyard of Precision. Before going, I recommend stocking up on normal arrows, because this is all about hitting multiple targets at once. This island is divided into four segments, each of which has a collection of diamond switches that float and spin in the air. You need to use Focused Shot to target and hit all the yellow switches at the same time. This will activate them and turn them blue.

Once an entire group of switches turns blue, you can move on to the next set on the island. When all four sets of five switches have turned blue, you're going to need to take a leap of faith in the center. Jump down and then press X (Xbox) / Square (PlayStation) to glide up high into the air. This will launch you through two rings, each of which has a set of three switches you'll need to shoot at the same time.

To do this, you will want to draw your bow and activate the Focused Shot when you are ascending by the switches. This makes it much easier to both aim and hit the switches than if you're falling, since this can disrupt where your arrows actually hit. It may take several tries to actually hit each set of three switches, so make sure to bring some food that will regenerate your Spirit so you can use Focused Shot for an extended period of time.

After both sets of three switches in the sky are blue, approach the large circular switch on the other side of the island, and perform a Force Palm to activate it. This will summon an Abyss Artifact at the base of the stairs, which will also grant you the Lightning element.

You can now swap to this whenever you want via the equip tab and activate the Lightning Surge ability by pressing Right Trigger + B (Xbox) / Right Trigger + Circle (PlayStation) to release a small shock wave of electricity around you!
