Unlock Lightning Element Fast Crimson Desert Youtube
Lightning Surge and Lightning Lv. 1 show up in your skill tree early on in Crimson Desert, both locked, and the game doesn’t do a great job of telling you why. You can stack Abyss Artifacts all day and nothing changes. This is because these abilities aren’t unlocked through the skill tree at all. They’re sitting behind a puzzle called the Courtyard of Precision, deep inside the Abyss sky realm, accessed through the Spire of the Stars near the end of Chapter 4. Getting there isn’t exactly a straight line.
You’ll need to push through the Secret Garden, navigate the Vault of Vengeance, and finally reach the Courtyard itself. In this guide, I will walk you through the whole path so you’re not wandering the Abyss wondering what you’re missing. How To Unlock Lightning Elemental Abilities Before heading in to unlock the lightning abilities, there are a couple of things you want to sort out first. Make sure you are carrying a solid stock of arrows with you, at least 50.
More importantly though, you need to have the Focused Shot ability unlocked in your skill tree before you go in. This one is not optional. Several of the puzzles along the way are built around using it. If you do not have it ready, you will end up hitting a wall with no way forward. To get started, first you need to head to the Scholastone Institute, which will take you up into the Abyss above it. I have marked its location down below.
Once you fast travel into the Abyss, you will find a teleportation circle directly in front of you. Take it and keep moving forward until you pass a monolith and reach a triangular barrier. Go through the barrier and a pillar will rise out of the ground in front of you. Use your grappling hook to interact with it and rotate it, which raises the platforms ahead and creates a path for you to cross.
Make your way over to the next platform and you will find a huge hole in the ground. You can drop straight through it and keep moving forward to reach the next teleportation ring, or if you prefer, just jump down from the side and glide your way there instead. Use the teleportation ring to get to the first puzzle.
Secret Garden To solve the puzzle here, you need to redirect the lasers from both circular devices on either side of the room to light up the two crystals above the locked door. When you first walk in, you will notice that the circular laser device on your left is powered off. To fix that, jump down into the water below and locate the square chipset sitting down there.
Once you have it, use your Axiom Force to slot the chipset into the side of the laser device, then drive it in with your Force Palm. This will power it up. Now make your way over to the left laser device and rotate it so that it points upward toward the mirror sitting directly above the right device. The laser will bounce off the mirror and hit the right crystal above the door, powering it up.
Once that is taken care of, head over to the laser device on the right side of the room. This one should already be powered on when you arrive, so all you need to do is rotate it upward so it points toward the upper mirror. The laser will reflect off and power up the left crystal above the door. With both crystals now active at the same time, the door will finally unlock.
Go through this door and move forward to the next area by flying above with the help of the vent. First Abyss Artifact Once you make your way up, you will notice a pipe nearby that is not properly connected. Walk up to it and interact with it to reconnect it back together. Doing this will activate the pressure plate that is connected to the pipeline system. Step on top of the pressure plate and use your Force Palm on it. This triggers the mechanism and unlocks the Abyss Artifact.
Go ahead and collect it. Afterwards, turn around and make your way toward the next triangular barrier to continue pushing forward. After going through the triangular barrier, you will notice another pillar rise up out of the ground just like before. Walk up to it and use your grappling hook to interact with it, then rotate it to raise the floating platforms ahead of you. Make your way across these platforms one by one until you reach a circular platform at the end.
Step onto it and it will automatically carry you over to the next island without you having to do anything. It takes a few seconds so just hold tight and enjoy the ride while it moves you across. Vault of Vengeance Once you get to the next island, you will notice a force barrier blocking your path forward. On both sides of this barrier you will find a cube shaped altar.
Your job here is to find two cubes scattered around in the immediate area and place them one by one onto these altars using your Axiom Force. Once both cubes are placed correctly, the force barrier will come down and you can head inside. When you walk through you will find yourself in front of another locked door, this time with targets on both sides of it. You need to hit both of them in quick succession to get the door open.
Go through the door and you will find yourself in a room filled with multiple lasers running across the floor and walls. These will damage you if they make contact, so be careful not to get hit by them. To deactivate them you need to shoot all four targets that are located above the lasers. The tricky part here is that you cannot just pick them off one at a time because they need to be hit together. This is exactly where Focused Shot comes in.
Activate it to slow down time, which gives you the window you need to line up and mark all four targets before letting your arrows fly. Once all four targets are hit the lasers will deactivate and the room will be safe to move around in freely. Make your way over to the altar sitting in the middle of the room where you will find the Golden Sword. Go ahead and pick it up. After you have collected it, jump down through the opening where the sword was.
This will drop you down to the next section. Hallway of Lasers Once you drop down you will find yourself in a hallway with a couple of moving lasers. Take your time here and watch the patterns carefully before you commit to moving through them. Carefully make your way through the lasers one by one until you reach the end of the hallway. There you will find another chipset sitting nearby. Pick it up and use your Axiom Force to slot it into the socket on the wall.
This will power up the teleportation circle in the room. Step into the teleportation circle to reach the next area of the puzzle. Second Abyss Artifact In the next area you will come across a large circular device. On both sides of it you will find batteries mounted on the wall. One of them will be sitting out of place. Use your Axiom Force to reposition it correctly, then drive it into place with your Force Palm. This will activate the circular device.
Climb up to the center of it and hit it with your Force Palm. This unlocks an Abyss Artifact inside the nearby Monolith. Go ahead and collect it, then head toward the triangular barrier in the area to move forward. Going through the triangular barrier will cause another pillar to rise up out of the ground, just like you have seen a couple of times before.
Walk up to it and use your grappling hook to interact with it, then rotate it until the floating platforms ahead of you line up and form a path you can cross. Once you make it to the other side you will find another teleportation ring waiting for you. Step into it and it will teleport you to the final area. Courtyard of Precision To solve the final puzzle you will need to shoot a whole bunch of targets.
In the area you will notice a lot of flying square targets scattered around, some of which are even shooting lightning. Some of these targets will be yellow and some will already be blue. They are spread out in groups across the area. You need to shoot every single yellow target to turn it blue. Using your Focused Shot ability will help a lot here as it slows down time and makes lining up the targets much easier, especially the ones that are moving around.
Once you have turned all the targets in the area blue, a giant vent will open up in the middle of the ground. Step onto it and it will launch you up into the air. As you fly higher you will spot two more sets of targets way up in the sky, three targets in each group. You need to shoot all six of them while you are still mid air. After all the targets are taken care of, a pressure plate will rise up in the area.
Walk up to it and use your Force Palm to activate it. This will unlock the nearby Monolith and finally reward you with the lightning ability you came all this way for. From here you can head into your skill tree and start unlocking your lightning skills. Wrapping Up That is everything you need to unlock the lightning elemental abilities in Crimson Desert.
